Ivor’s Daily Gallivant Tuesday May 23, 2023 A day of mixed fortunes. On the plus side I got a phone call from the Eye Hospital to arrange an appointment about my Glaucoma and on the minus I may have messed up my online interview with Diabetes UK for a Diabetic Health Champion. I wasn’t at the top of my game because my sleep recent been sleeping issues. The interviewer was very sympathetic and the job sounded very interesting if I’m accepted I will find the job very rewarding and if I’m turned down I did my best and wouldn’t have done a good job, and I wouldn’t want that. So I’m happy whatever the outcome. The problem was a result of my old problem a long running mental health issue which was exacerbated by recent stress. Ignorant people think ( sorry that should be imagine not think) mental health issues are a walk in the park and us funny people should be treated to the frustrations and humiliations of the Job Centre but happily there are those who disagree. There’s still hope common sense will prevail. My weekend was spent attending Marcella House a place for us funny people. With three gorgeous ladies and a top notch young man. Where I was treated with great kindness. When it closed we went for a walk to Hythe Marina and looked across Southampton Water. It was a sunny late afternoon. Life was good. Monday I don’t remember Which I think closes the gap in the Daily Gallivant as well as needs be.
