Ivor’s Daily Gallivant Friday October 27, 2023 (It was another of my days when my plans weren’t accomplished.) To do list (1) One hour housework (did 27 minutes) (2) One hour painting (none done) (3) Shopping (not done) (4) Tea breaks (1 hour 13 minutes) Slept through the morning after a sleepless night and felt recked. A friend come round, and we shared chips with salt, vinegar and mayonnaise which were washed down with tea. Next, I ran to Boots to book a flu jab and much to my surprise was able to get one right away. After my jab I ran home. I sat around drinking tea with nothing from my to do list done. Going shopping would involve leaving the bungalow and catching the bus so I decided to leave that until tomorrow. Which I pondered should I do first painting or housework…if I’m remembered for anything it will be for painting and not housework…and if someone asked, ‘what do you do?’ …painting is a more interesting answer than housework. I had my evening meal, vegetable curry with brown rice and lime pickle. The lime pickle was delicious. At some point in the evening, I decided to time my activities. I had a shower and change of clothes. Which I dutifully did and settled down for another cup of tea when I finished. (I sent over 17 minutes drinking tea and daydreaming) There was housework which wouldn’t wait such as taking my clothes out of the machine and chopping up a couple of onions to go into the freezer and putting the dishes away (Spent 27 minutes on it) But the lion share of my time was spent drinking tea and daydreaming. (I hour 13 minutes)
