Ivor’s Daily Gallivant Thursday September 29, 2023 Woke before 6.00 am and had breakfast, took my tablets and made todays to do list. Things to do September 28, 2023 (1) Wrap paintings really to be taken to October Books (done as much as I could) (2) Listen to the next instalment from The Grapes of Wrath…done (3) Phone October Books (10.05)….done (4) Attend Unite Community (12.15) …..done (5) Get more cash out of the bank (leave for bus 10.15)…..done Started wrapping the paintings in bubble wrap ready for my exhibition and set my timer to sound when it is time to phone October Books, and when it’s time for my bus. I stopped work on the wrapping and went for a run. I felt superb afterwards. With a few pictures over I found I’d run out of bubble wrap and stopped, it will have to do. I caught the bus into Southampton went to the bank so I was ready to go to The Steam and Vintage Vehicle Show in Burly on Sunday. After my visit to the bank I attended the Unite Community Meeting but felt very tired and didn’t take much in. (I was up before 5.00 am this morning) At the bus stop (for the bus home) a bloke let me go in front of him, I was holding my folding chair/cain and thinking he thought I was disabled i said-‘I’m not disabled’ He replied- ‘ I am’ And then admitted he was joking and just being polite. I ran back from the bus stop in Holbury and when I was back home I was exhausted. So I had a long sleep. I made myself an evening meal, of the three chicken thighs cooked in the air fryer, brown rice, chicken gravy granules, frozen peppers, frozen chestnut mushrooms, mixed vegetables, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, lemon juice and black pepper. (I’d seen a video about cooking with vinegar and this was my first experiment with apple cider vinegar and it was delicious) As they were cooking I cleaned the corner of my bedroom where my bureau is. It was much needed there was an accumulation of years of spiderwebs there.
