Ivor’s Daily Gallivant

Another week gone; I stayed in bed beyond when my alarm went off. The weather was unexpectedly good, and I decided to do the photos for All Saints Church in Fawley and before I went there have a quick much needed shower.

Waiting at the bus stop a dog barked loudly at me as he passed on a lead with his owner, this was the second or third time it had happened, and the owner and I expressed our amusement about it.

I got off the bus at Fawley village and finding All Saints was easy. I walked round the church taking photos and as I took them remembered my deceased friend Diane had by asking for a picture of St. Andrews her church, given me the idea for the project.

A friend helping me from the other side of the grave, or just me putting an old memory to good use? Whatever the case it would turn out to be an enjoyable project which might help towards getting my garden in shape.

I was thirsty and went for a coffee in The Falcon Inn which I drink in the salon bar, which was quiet, just the way I like it.

After taking the photos I walked back via the gulf course and tried a vegan burger with chips and a coffee in KFC as I wanted to use their toilet. It wasn’t an unpleasant snack- with the burger heavily flavoured with pepper.

When I got home, I ate a portion of vegetable curry with a piece of Nan bread. The rain began again, I was pleased to have made use of today’s game weather and done some more towards the Waterside Churches Project.
