Unable to sleep again, after sleeping through the evening I got up and had some tea. My used my time watching instructions a video for writing messages for Ourtime. And watching a Ted Talk entitled ‘Being Happy isn’t the only thing’ which gave four pillars for a purposeful life:
Belong. People need a scene of belonging to a group or society and need to be accepted for what they are rather than how they fit in.
Purpose: The sense of being of value
Transcendence: this is when you’re ‘in the zone’ and performing beyond maximum capacity.
Story Telling: The one that was most interesting to me was Story Telling which is about how people edit and interpret their life experiences which enables them to adjust to their pasts. A good story will offer redemption, growth and love.
It was also remarked that chasing happiness can cause unhappiness.
I spent the day contacting ladies on Ourtime and by afternoon was exhausted so went to bed and slept until early evening. I made myself a meal of fish fingers, jacket potato and cauliflower with broccoli.
And later ate a large tin of pineapple chunks.
