It was the day of my blood test. To save time and keep me fit I ran to Blackfield Health Centre, on my way I passed Julie’s bungalow, and she called me from her garden, and invited me in for a coffee. As my appointment was soon, I passed up the invitation but agreed to come back again later in the morning.
My appointment didn’t go to plan the nurse asked if I had eaten anything. I replied I’d had a spoonful of granola before coming out. (I had forgotten it was a fasting blood test) … appointment has been rescheduled for tomorrow.
On my way back I dropped in at Julie’s and we had coffee and a Kit Cat. On my way-out Julie gave me some runner beans fresh from her garden- I don’t normally have runner beans and wasn’t sure what to do with them (they will make a nice change)
When I got home, I slept through the afternoon and air fried a chicken thigh which I ate with a jacket potato and mixed vegetables and garlic pickle.
Waterside Art Group was scheduled for this evening, but I gave it a miss again.
Looked up runner bean recipes and blanched the ones I’d been given today for freezing, by following a YouTube video. I’m not sure how I’m going to use them.
There was a piece on my newsfeed about Van Gogh which caused me to check his age when he died and find an article on the BBC website that questioned if he actually committed suicide after all.
After sleeping through the afternoon, I was wide awake in the evening, and it looked like my sleep patterns were going to be disrupted again.
