Ivor’s Daily Gallivant Friday October 13, 2023 Got up and dressed before my alarm sounded. Once again, the weather is atrocious. It rained through the night and is still horrible. Yesterday’s launch night made me think. There must be people who read these posts and are familiar with some of my interests and concerns. Recently I saw an ad for Age UK about loneliness and old age. My blog is something which stops me being lonely- it’s my way of relating to the world and having the world relate to me. Writing, reading, thinking and reflection, take time and effort. Sadly, we all have too little time, and most people are lazy. Today is the day of my covid booster jab. I left home early which was fortunate, there’s two branches of Boots in Southampton and I went to the wrong one. Eventually after a lot of walking around I found it. And everything went okay- well that’s not exactly true I had my right ear facing the nurse calling out the names, so at first, I didn’t hear her. When I got home, I ate one of the portions of sausage casserole which was prepared earlier it was made with red wine vinegar and tasted superb. I had it with pasta. I expected there might be side effects from having the booster but by 20.02 there had been none.
