Ivor’s Daily Gallivant
Thursday October 5, 2023
As is customary with me these days I couldn’t sleep so got up, got dressed and treated myself to a cup of tea, as I felt really thirsty. I wonder if it’s my diabetes or just a dry throat.
There was a half-opened tin of tomatoes in the fridge which I’d mistaken for a tin of chickpeas, yesterday evening when I was making a curry.
I continued opening it- A hazardous procedure which involved-a g-clamp, strew-driver, rolling pin and pair of tin snips.
(I don’t have a tin opener- any fool can use a tin opener it takes a real twerp to do it the way I did.)
Using a tin opener requires nothing like the skill, patience and ingenuity my method.
There was was a note on my organiser to rebook my Covid jab, which was a doddle this time- having done it three times before. (Eventually even I can get some things right.)
I went to October Books and had a look to see how my paintings looked and offer the post card I’d had printed of one of them.
When I got back home, I was shattered and slept through the evening.
